Wer, wie ich, öfter mit der Bahn unterwegs ist kennt das Problem mit den Verspätungen. Und um bei diesen Verspätungen eine Erstattung zu bekommen muss, wie fast immer in Deutschland, ein Formular ausgefüllt werden. Je mehr Formulare dies sind desto nerviger wird diese Angelegenheit. Auf der Suche nach einer Möglichkeit diesen Vorgang zu vereinfachen bin ich auf travelynx gestoßen.

Auf einer einfach strukturierten Seite wird der Startbahnhof gesucht und anschließend der Zug sowie der Zielbahnhof ausgewählt. Weiter ist nichts zu tun. Die Abfahrt- und Ankunftszeit wird aufgezeichnet und sollten die Verspätungen im erstattungsfähigen Bereich sein kann ein Formular heruntergeladen werden in dem die Bahndaten schon vorausgefüllt sind.

Ein weiteres tolles Feature von travelynx ist die Bahnfahrtenkarte. Auf dieser können alle gemachten Bahnfahrten angesehen werden. In dem Screeenshot sind meine Bahnfahrten aus dem Jahr 2021 zu sehen.

Wer mag kann dank des verfügbaren Quellcodes auch seine eigene Instanz der Software aufsetzen oder sein Konto mit einem Konto bei traewelling, einem anderen Onlinedienst mit vergleichbaren Funktionen, verknüpfen.

Alles in allem eine tolle Software, die von mir mittlerweile zu Aufzeichnung aller Bahnfahrten genutzt wird und die ich mit fünf Sternen gerne weiter empfehle.

This is a full featured clock application. It has all the usual features such as alarms, stopwatch and timer. The app has a clear UI. Everything is as it should.

Except that the alarm didn’t ring any audible bells. Well at least I got a long nap… This may not be the app’s fault per se. Maybe it’s something related to my particular phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro), but nonetheless this unfortunately makes the application useless, for me anyway.

Still, go ahead and give it a try. Maybe it works better on your device. Just make sure to test it before relying on it…

Fidlock TWIST is a system for attaching water bottles magnetically to the bike frame. As the name suggests, you have to twist the bottle in order to get it off.

The system works alright, bottles won’t fall. It may also be possible to install these to positions where normal bottle holder can’t, since they typically require some space above the bottle to be able slide it off. These only need the space for a little twisting motion.

That’s it for the positive sides. It’s very inconvenient to place the bottle back to it’s magnetic mount. Basically you have to feel around randomly until it clicks, or look down, which can be dangerous on a road. Traditional bottle holders are way more convenient to use.

Unless you really need to install a bottle to a tight spot in your frame, it’s not worth it vendorlocking yourself to Fidlock. A gimmic product range.

Der Laden ist etwas unscheinbar, wenn man die Industriestraße entlangfährt und sie nicht kennt und wo das Restaurant noch nicht auf OSM eingetragen war. Aber die Strandkörbe neben dem Haus Nr. 5 kann man danach nicht mehr übersehen. Das Tagesgericht ist sehr empfehlenswert gewesen und der anschließende Milchreis und Apfelkuchen auch.

Went here for lunch after finding most of Llanidloes closed. The staff were incredibly friendly and talkative, and the food was amazing. I had a halloumi burger, which I would highly recommend. The HPA (a beer) was also supposedly excellent, as was the cider. Will definitely visit again.

We went here for lunch on our way home from Edinburgh. Nothing but delicious meals and great service, and plenty of choice for gluten-intolerant people. The restaurant itself was calm and quiet, no doubt because of its location. I am led to believe that the beer is excellent also.

I went on this tour with my family, and loved every minute of it! There were jumpscares and jokes, amazing special effects (such as birds flying overhead on cue), and a brilliant and immersive retelling of Edinburgh’s history. The two who were running it seemed jolly and excited, and perfectly presented their characters. Would go again.

Friendly staff, great service and delicious pizza. What more could you want? Plenty of choice for gluten-intolerant people (coeliacs), and the leftovers were boxed up within seconds of us asking, for us to take them home. Will definitely visit again.

This was a brilliant day out! The illusions themselves were varied and interesting. Everything from automata to plasma spheres to a mirror maze. The camera obscure was very interesting and was presented awesomely by the staff. I would definitely visit again.

I went here for breakfast on my trip to Edinburgh. The food was great and the staff were friendly. There was also plenty of choice for coeliacs (people who are gluten-intolerant). The choice of music (mostly rock, alternative, and grunge) that was playing was also fantastic. Would definitely visit again.
