This is one of many Shawarma (and sometimes falafel?) shops located on the East side of La Carolina park (Avenida de los Shyris). It’s one of few that also has outdoor seating.

They had a tasty (vegan) falafel sandwich for $4 wrapped in biodegradable paper.

They did not know what “vegano” is.
…but minus 2 stars because they wrapped it all in plastic
Advice to management: just use paper, so it’s all biodegradable. There’s no need to wrap it in plastic.

They said they knew what “vegan” is, but then they tried to give me aji with eggs. I had to confirm if it has eggs, and they said that their aji (hot sauce) does have eggs in it.

This is one of many “container restaurants” located in a semi-outdoor mall of different restaurants in metal shipping containers called “La Pradera”

This is the only shop in the entire Pradera that has a vegan item explicitly listed on their menu as “vegan” (actually, they had two “arepa vegana 1” and “arepa vegana 2”).

I got “arepa vegana 2” for $4.10
…but minus 2 stars because they served it in plastic and on a styrofoam plate.

Advice to management: Use paper. Don’t use plastic. Don’t use styrofoam.

They had a tasty (vegan-possible) burger. Nothing on their menu is vegan. They do have a vegetarian burger on their menu, and the staff knew what vegan is. They said that the burger is served with cheese and mayo with eggs. They said the bread was vegan. So, I was able to order the vegetarian burger as vegan (por favor, sin queso y sin mayo).

Combo (with a plastic-only drink), fries, and burger was $6.
…but minus 2 star because they still gave me mayo on the side (I asked “que es?” and they said it was mayo, then quickly removed it from my tray), and I honestly wasn’t sure if they omitted the egg mayo on the burger itself.
…and minus 2 stars because they put it on a plastic sheet. And drinks only came in plastic bottles.

Advice to management: Use paper instead of plastic. And add one vegan burger to your menu. And train your staff to know what “vegan” means.

Advice to management: just use paper cups for condiments and (if you really must), a long sheet of paper on the tray. So everything is biodegradable and plastic-free.
There are two vegan starters and two vegan main dishes on their menu. The food was always tasty and very nice staff cared about us, special requests are taken into account and the dishes are adjusted according. The owner is very kind, always open for a chat and converted the location into a very cosy spot. I like this place and visit it frequently.
Fast food restaurant selling only vegan food. Unnecessarily, they sell milk based aryan as well.
At my first visit, we tried a burger, a wrap and fries. The latter is an item I won’t take again and can not recommend, but the burger and the wrap were satisfying. The staff was nice as well and took the time to explain their concept and products. However, after two more visits I can not recommend the burger anymore. Its dry, boring and overpriced and I’m not planning to visit them again.
On all my visits preparing the food took quite a while. Moreover, food is served in disposable tableware only, and they do not have any restrooms.
Pfannenzauber is a fully vegan restaurant where most of the staff are totally committed to the concept and are friendly and cheerful, they are also committed to combatting food waste!
The food is most of the time very tasty and a seasonal menu ensures a change of their offer. However, there’s a huge fluctuation in portion size, sometimes it’s way too small. They offer a free portion of fries if your dish contained fries and was not sufficient to satisfy your hunger, which is nice, but not what I am looking for. There are in general many items on the menu that one expects to find at a snack point, but not in a restaurant. If one ignores the latter, one can basically just choose between the two saisonal options.
Moreover, refusing payments by card was already outdated 10 years ago. They have a couple of arguments why they refuse it, which would be valid if one would expect card only payments, but that was not what the discussion was about.

Seasonal dish: Falafel flatbread (July/August 2025)
If you’re not interested in fries, you better look for another place. They offer several vegan dishes which are indicated as such on the menu.
However, the amount of vegan options decreased significantly in the course of the last year. The same applies to the portion sizes and and amount of ‘toppings’. The vegan currywurst e.g. contains only traces of sauce. Since, the prizes went also up, the stars of this review went further down.

Photograph of what they call ‘vegan currywurst special’, I call it ‘wurst with traces of currysauce’, but I doubt that this makes it special. (Own work. License: CC-BY-SA.)
